When Cupid struck last Christmas expectations were high that the Prez would return to Cork to set up shop with the new First Lady, Tipperary Rose Eimear. However we're still waiting - as is she. "I can't be rushin' now," claims the bullet dodgin' songster, adding "for feck sake it took me this long to get to this point I think caution is the best option."
Many suspect however, that concern over the Tanaiste's propensity for comments of a Ring-type nature and his hints about the deals he can get for functions in certain hotels, might be the reason for the presidential reticence. "He's an awful hoor for the pressure," says the President.
However, with the recent announcement from the Jagglemeister's camp, the pressure might just be easing enough to tempt the exiled president home. "I'm not out of the woods just yet, but it's lookin' good at the moment," he says.
